  • One-page sites live in under an hour
  • No bloat at all

What's not

  • One-page only by design
  • No real store

Carrd builds one-page websites and nothing else, and it does that one thing better and more cheaply than anyone. A personal homepage, a link-in-bio page, a product waitlist or an event page can be live in under an hour, for a price quoted per year rather than per month.

The constraint is the whole design: every Carrd site is a single page. The day you need a second page, a blog or a shop, you have outgrown it, and there is no upgrade path inside Carrd that changes that.

Forms and payments without a store

Carrd has no shopping cart, but Pro Standard's forms connect to about twenty email tools, including Mailchimp, Kit, MailerLite, Klaviyo and beehiiv, and forms can collect payments. Embeds let you drop in a Stripe or PayPal button, a Gumroad product or a Typeform survey. For selling one product or taking signups for a launch, that covers the job without the overhead of a full store.

Where it stops

Everything lives on one scrolling page. You can fake sections that feel like pages, but there is no true multi-page navigation, no blog and no CMS. Search engines see a single URL, which is fine for a personal site or a campaign and limiting for a business that wants to rank for more than its own name.

Pricing

From $1.58/mo · Carrd pricing

Who it's for

Link-in-bio pages, personal profiles, event and launch pages, and validating an idea before committing to a real site. On cost per outcome at this size, nothing here is close.

Who it isn't for

Any site that needs multiple pages, a blog or a store. Using Carrd for those means fighting the product's single clear decision.

Limits worth knowing

  • One page by design — sections scroll, they are not separate URLs
  • No content management system
  • No real ecommerce beyond simple payment links
  • Limited SEO surface, since there is only one URL to rank

Questions people ask

Can Carrd do multi-page sites?

Not really. Pro plans allow multiple sections and some routing tricks, but there is no true multi-page structure with separate URLs. If you need several pages that rank independently, use something else.

Is Carrd good for SEO?

For a single page targeting a single topic, it is adequate: you control the title, description and content. But one URL can only rank for one cluster of intent, so it is not a platform for search growth.

What does Carrd cost per year?

Nineteen dollars a year for Pro Standard covers most uses, including a custom domain and forms. That is roughly one month of most other builders on this list.

Can I use my own domain?

Yes, from Pro Standard at $19 a year. The cheaper Pro Lite plan removes branding but does not support custom domains, and the free plan uses a carrd.co address.

The bottom line

For a one-page site, Carrd is the best value on the web, and Pro Standard at $19 a year is the plan to buy. Use it for a personal homepage, a launch page or a link hub, and do not be embarrassed by how little it costs.

The moment you need a second page, a blog or a catalog, move to a full builder instead of bending Carrd into one.
