Who each one is for

Carrd. Link-in-bio pages, personal profiles, event and launch pages, and validating an idea before committing to a real site. On cost per outcome at this size, nothing here is close.

Hostinger. A first site on a tight budget, or a straightforward business presence where hosting, domain and builder in one bill is worth more than template choice. On pure cost over the first term, nothing else here competes.

What a year costs

Carrd

Carrd's pricing is refreshingly small, but the three Pro plans are not interchangeable. Pro Lite, at $9 a year, removes the branding and adds bigger images and premium templates, but it does not let you use your own domain. For almost everyone with a business, the right plan is Pro Standard at $19 a year: custom domains, contact and signup forms, embeds for things like Stripe or Gumroad, and analytics.

A year on each Carrd plan
Pro Lite$9
Pro Standard$19
Pro Plus$49

Plan price

Pro Lite does not support custom domains. For comparison, a year of Squarespace Core is $348.

Hostinger

Hostinger's plans are paid up front, and the low monthly figures are what you get by dividing a 48-month payment by 48. Premium is $143.52 for four years, which works out at $2.99 a month, and then renews at $10.99 a month. Unlimited is $191.52 for four years, then $16.99 a month. Cloud Startup is $383.52, then $25.99 a month.

Cloud, renewal$312

Cost per year

Intro rates require paying 48 months up front. Renewal rates are monthly prices × 12.

Who should skip each one

Carrd

Any site that needs multiple pages, a blog or a store. Using Carrd for those means fighting the product's single clear decision.

Hostinger

Anyone who expects the site to grow into something specific. The integration and template ceiling arrives sooner than with Wix or Squarespace, and the renewal price erodes the cost advantage.

The bottom line

Carrd

For a one-page site, Carrd is the best value on the web, and Pro Standard at $19 a year is the plan to buy. Use it for a personal homepage, a launch page or a link hub, and do not be embarrassed by how little it costs.

Hostinger

Hostinger is the cheapest credible way to get a hosted site with a domain and email, especially if you are happy to prepay for four years. Choose Unlimited if you want to sell.
