Squarespace alternatives
Squarespace scores 8.4/10 on our rubric, but it is not the right fit for everyone. These are the 8 strongest alternatives we score, ranked, with what each one does better and what it costs.
Why people look beyond Squarespace
- No free tier beyond the trial
- Less layout freedom than Wix
Who it isn't for
Sites needing unusual layouts, heavy custom functionality or a large catalogue. The template does most of the work, which is the benefit until it becomes the ceiling.

Better than Squarespace on ease of use, flexibility, value and support.
2. Wix 8.6
The safest default if you want the most options and the least friction. You trade portability for speed.

The value pick. Watch the renewal price before committing.
Better than Squarespace on ease of use and value.
