Hostinger is a web host that also sells a drag-and-drop, AI-assisted website builder, and it competes on price harder than anyone in this comparison. Hosting, a domain for the first year, email and the builder come in one package, and the entry price looks almost too low to be true.

It is not too low, but it is conditional. The headline monthly price assumes you pay for four years up front, and the renewal price is several times higher. Judged on what you will pay over a few years, Hostinger is still good value, just not the bargain the banner suggests.

Which plan can sell

Premium is aimed at personal sites, portfolios, blogs and link-in-bio pages, and allows up to three websites. Ecommerce is available from Unlimited upwards, along with unlimited websites, email marketing through Hostinger Reach and priority support. Hostinger charges 0% transaction fees on store sales and supports more than 100 payment methods, so the payment provider's own fee is the only one you pay.

The builder itself

You can describe the site and let the AI generate a first version, then adjust it in a drag-and-drop editor with 300-plus templates. AI tools write copy, generate product descriptions and make a logo. It is a capable, straightforward builder, simpler than Wix and with fewer templates and third-party apps. For a small business that wants something tidy online quickly and cheaply, that simplicity is a strength.

Pricing

From USD 2.99/mo · Hostinger pricing

Who it's for

A first site on a tight budget, or a straightforward business presence where hosting, domain and builder in one bill is worth more than template choice. On pure cost over the first term, nothing else here competes.

Who it isn't for

Anyone who expects the site to grow into something specific. The integration and template ceiling arrives sooner than with Wix or Squarespace, and the renewal price erodes the cost advantage.

Limits worth knowing

  • Advertised pricing requires a long prepaid term
  • Renewal pricing is materially higher than the entry rate
  • Smaller template and integration library than the major builders
  • The builder is tied to Hostinger hosting

Questions people ask

Why is Hostinger so cheap?

The advertised rate is introductory and requires prepaying for up to 48 months. Renewal runs several times higher. It is genuinely inexpensive over the first term, but compare renewal rates before treating it as the cheapest option long-term.

Is the AI website builder any good?

For getting a conventional business site live quickly, yes. It produces reasonable structure and copy you then edit. It will not produce something distinctive, and it is not a substitute for knowing what the site needs to say.

Can I move my site away from Hostinger?

The builder sites are tied to Hostinger. A WordPress install on their hosting is portable in the normal way. If portability matters, choose the WordPress route rather than the builder.

Does it include a domain?

Annual plans typically include a domain for the first year, then it renews at standard rates. Factor the domain renewal into the second-year cost alongside the hosting renewal.

The bottom line

Hostinger is the cheapest credible way to get a hosted site with a domain and email, especially if you are happy to prepay for four years. Choose Unlimited if you want to sell.

Plan around the renewal price, not the headline, and look at Wix or Squarespace if you want a larger template library and more apps.
