Lovable vs B12
Lovable scores 8.0/10, B12 8.7/10. Where each one wins, what they cost and who should pick which, side by side.
The short answer
Lovable scores 8.0/10 and B12 scores 8.7/10 on our rubric. B12 is the stronger all-round pick.
B12 leads on ease of use, design, flexibility, value and support.
Lovable starts at $25/mo and has a free plan; B12 starts at $20/mo and has a free plan. B12 is the cheaper way in.
Website first, or code first
B12 and Lovable both build from a prompt, and both can produce things with logins and data, but they start from opposite ends. B12 starts from a finished, hosted business website, with pages, copy, design and a store, and adds working parts such as payments, bookings and simple web apps. Lovable starts from the application: it writes a React codebase with a Supabase database, which you can export to GitHub and hand to a developer.
That makes the choice about the deliverable. If what you need is a business's website, perhaps with a quote calculator, member area or store, B12 gets you there with less effort and no code to maintain, from $24 a month. If what you need is a software product that will grow into its own codebase, Lovable Pro at $25 a month is the better start, because the code is yours to take anywhere. Plenty of founders end up using one of each.

Who each one is for
Lovable. Founders and product people validating an idea, internal tools, and prototypes that need to be real enough to test with users. The Supabase wiring being handled for you removes the step that usually stalls non-developers.
B12. Anyone who wants to go from a description to a finished, working site without assembling it: small businesses, founders, freelancers and teams who need a website, a store or a simple web app live this week, and would rather talk to an AI than learn a design tool.

What a year costs
Lovable
Lovable uses a single credit balance for five kinds of usage: building (every message that changes your app), chatting, hosting the finished app and its database on Lovable Cloud, AI features inside your deployed app, and some third-party connectors. Paid plans include 100 monthly credits on top of five free build credits a day, a small monthly Cloud grant of 20 credits and a monthly AI grant of 4.
Subscription
B12
The Free plan runs on a b12sites.com address with five AI credits a day. Website, at $24 a month ($20 on yearly billing), adds your own domain, 100 AI credits a month, commerce, backends, analytics and up to ten launched projects. Website + Client Engagement, at $78 ($67 yearly), triples the AI credits and adds the client tools. New users can try the paid plans for $1 for the first seven days, and the custom domain is free for the first year.

Who should skip each one
Lovable
A marketing site or a brochure. Using an app builder for five static pages is slower and more expensive than any builder here. It is also not yet a substitute for a developer on anything with genuinely complex logic.
B12
A designer who wants pixel-level control over every layout, where Webflow or Framer fit better, or a merchant with a large, complex catalogue, where Shopify's commerce depth wins. If you need to own and hand-edit an app's codebase, a code-first AI app builder such as Lovable or Replit is the better home.
The bottom line
Lovable
Lovable is the best way we know to turn an idea into a working app without writing code, and Pro at $25 a month is enough to find out whether the idea deserves more. Keep an eye on the credit balance once the app is live, because hosting and in-app AI draw from it too.
B12
B12 is the AI builder we would point most people to first: one prompt gives you a complete site, store or simple web app, and you keep improving it by talking to the same AI. Start on the free plan to see the draft, and move to the $24 Website plan when you want your own domain, commerce and backends.
